On May 26th this year for the first time after 30 years a government with a clear mandate took oath of office under the leadership of our new Prime Minister Narendrabhai Damodardas Modi. Six months later it is time to take a critical look at the Modi government’s performance in order to understand if it is living up to people’s expectations after that historic mandate this summer.
One of the best ways to gauge the performance of a government is to analyze people’s perceptions about the ministers in a cabinet. This is our small attempt to cut away from any biases and get a direct feedback from the social media and internet users about their perceptions vis-à-vis the BJP government at the Centre. This is also an attempt to get a clear understanding beyond the vagaries of media extremities which varies from unquestioned adulation of the new government to outright hatred of Modi.
Here is a list of 15 ministers we have chosen and all you have to do is choose the best and the worst performing ones among them. You may choose to vote for more than one minister, but we would eventually filter down six of the best and the worst performing ministers of the Modi cabinet based on your voting. You may also choose to pick a minister who is not on our list and vote for him or her.
