GFRIEND was a six-member girl group signed to Source Music. On January 15, 2015, they released their first mini album, Season of Glass, and the following day, they debuted on Music Bank. The Gfriend members were Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji.

The group’s major ideas were “passionate sadness” (an orchestral and sentimental sound) and “powerful innocent” (an innocent concept with knife-like dancing), but they never stopped at one and kept reinventing themselves for good. Sowon

Sowon was the leader of the Gfriend K-pop group. She also played parts of the vocalist and visual in the group. Her birthday is on 7th December 1995. Therefore, currently, she is 27 years old. She is 173 cm (5’ 8”) tall and weighs around 51 kg (112 lbs). She is a Sagittarius, born and brought up in Seoul, South Korea. Her real name is Kim So Jeong. Sowon is a Hanlim Multi Art School graduate. She is currently studying at Sungshin Women’s University and is pursuing visual media and acting. She is bilingual as she can speak both Korean and Japanese.

Yerin

Yerin was the stage name of Jung Ye Riin, who was the lead dancer, vocalist, centre, and face of the group. She was born on 19 August 1996, which makes her currently 26 years old. Speaking of her features, her height is 168 cm (5’ 6”) and her estimated weight is about 49 kg (112 lbs). Her representative zodiac sign is Leo and she is a native of Seoul, South Korea. Eunha

Yuju

Choi Yu Na, also known by the stage name Yuju, was the main vocalist of the band. She was born on 4th October 1997, making her currently 25 years old. As for her body measurements, she is 170 cm (5’ 7”) tall and her weight is around 49 kg (108 lbs). Her zodiac sign is Libra and she was born and brought up in Ilsan, South Korea. SinB

Umji

Kim Ye Won was the maknae and vocalist of the Gfriend K-pop group. Professionally, she is famous by the name Umji. Her birthday is on 19th August 1999, which makes her currently 27 years old. Her height is 164.5 cm (5’ 5”) and she weighs around 48 kg (106 lbs). Leo is the representative zodiac sign of Umji. She was born and brought up in Incheon, South Korea in a rich family. However, she fits perfectly with the example of “pick from the streets” as interestingly, Source Music’s CEO saw her walking on the streets and asked her for auditions.
