MACRO INDIA TRACKER
MAPi - MICRO TRACKER
How do these trackers work?
Spread across India our teams gather real time intelligence from 11ooo locations and 378 districts which gives us data inputs at the rate of almost 2100 per hour throughout this election season. We have about 23 million data sets on our servers which run through some six thousand simulations every day to arrive at the most accurate predictive analytics.
We have deployed two different methodologies and algorithms to track India this summer. At the macro-level, we track the support levels enjoyed by each party and coalition. While at the micro-level, our MAPi – Micro Analytics Projections (INTELLIGENCE) – tracks polling booth level changes to look at how the 543 Lok Sabha Constituencies are trending at any given point of time.
Macro-tracker is inherently stable in nature and keeps track of the overall support bases whereas the micro-tracker is far more sensitive and volatile as it reacts to even minute data changes at each parliamentary constituency and even polling booth level. Logically, by the end of this election, both these mathematical models should converge at virtually the same levels.
